Did you watch Live Earth this weekend?

This 24-hour concert held on all continents featured some of the most well known celebrities, and was organized by Al Gore to raise awareness about global warming.

Several radio stations broadcast it live, which was really cool. When I got in my car to go to the gym, I turned on Sirius just in time to hear Madonna's "Hung Up" segment live from London.

While some attendees and viewers may be genuinely interested in the issue of global warming, undoubtedly much of the buzz around Live Earth can be attributed to its celebrity participants including Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, etc.

Which is why if you're a business, author or nonprofit, it's so important to learn from Live Earth and tie in with celebrities to get attention and awareness.

Paris Hilton Answers Fan Mail From Jail Cell

A couple of weeks ago we posted Paris Hilton's address in jail...

Soon after Barbara Walters revealed Paris told her she's been reading all of her fan mail, and Kathy Hilton told the press the same thing after she and her husband visited their daughter on Father's Day:

"She's spending her time looking at the four walls and reading some nice fan mail."

Now today, E! Online reports that Paris Hilton is answering her fan mail from jail:

"I read your letter and just wanted to thank you for your kind words of love and support. The fact that you took time out of your day to write me truly means the world. Especially at such a difficult and scary time in my life. But I am being strong and trying to make the best out of the situation. And the letters I'm receiving really do put a smile on my face as I sit here in my cell, sad and alone. Again, thank you so much and may God bless you and your family. Love always, Paris Hilton xoxo"

Paris Hilton Says She Has "Read Every Letter"

Last week we gave you Paris Hilton's address in jail, and yesterday she told Barbara Walters she has read every letter sent to her...

"I have read all the letters sent to me by my fans, and some of them have made me cry."

• Food or cosmetic items
• Stationery, blank envelopes, envelopes with metal clasps, postage stamps, envelops with gang or suggestive drawings/art work

• Paper clips, staples, pens, pencils, glitter, stickers, glued or gummed labels
• Rosary beads, balloons, string bracelets, or other jewelry items
• Lottery tickets or prepaid telephone cards
• Cellophane tape or any type of tape on letters

 Paris called her Mom from jail, who was already on the line speaking to Barbara Walters. Kathy Hilton told Paris that Barbara was on the other line, and Paris asked her mom if she could speak to Barbara directly, so Kathy clicked over.

Here's some of what Paris told Barbara:

"I used to act dumb. It was an act. That act is no longer cute. It is not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who look up to me. Now, I would like to make a difference...God has given me this new chance. I was not eating or sleeping," she said. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage...It was a horrible experience."

Our Troops Are Stars Letter-Writing Project

I want to share a special request with you.

You may or may not know, but May is Military Appreciation Month. Whether you agree or disagree with the war, it's still important to support the troops fighting for us in Iraq.

My brother has been fighting in Iraq for over a year now, and will probably be there for another year. In honor of Military Appreciation Month, I wanted to do something special. So I came up with a little letter-writing project called "Our Troops Are Stars."

Here's how it works:

The next time you're writing a letter to a celebrity, please take a few minutes to also
write a thank you note to someone serving us in the military.

If you don't know anyone to write, I've included the names of everyone in my brother's troop below. Simply choose a name (or names) from the list -- it's that easy.

You can see photos here.

If you work at a talent agency, PR firm, or are an actor or actress yourself, sending an autographed photo of you or one of your clients is also a great way to show your support.

To send your thank you note, simply choose a random name or names from the list below:

Anna Nicole Smith 1967 - 2007

Anna Nicole Smith was always so good to her fans and never turned down anyone for an autograph - we will truly miss her.

Life has never been easy for Anna Nicole Smith, and this week was no exception.

What was supposed to have been a day of celebration for the birth of Anna Nicole's new baby girl turned into a day of horror when her 20 year old son was found dead sitting upgright in a chair next to her bed.

Daniel Wayne Smith, who often appeared alongside his mom in her hit reality show "The Anna Nicole Show" on E! and in a few of her movies was found dead at 9 a.m. He had flown to the Bahamas to visit his mom and new baby sister three days after she gave birth at a private hospital.
