Paris Hilton's Address In Prison & "The Power Of Now"

Paris Hilton's latest book find is Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now. In fact, she's been snapped by the paparazzi carrying it on several different occasions, night and day...

Apparently Paris is using it to get through her time in prison. That's good news for Tolle, because his book has shot to #176 on Amazon as of my writing this.

I noticed Tolle's publishing company even had a photo of Hilton with The Power Of Now displayed on their booth at BookExpo this past weekend.

I am thankful that she is serving time. Most celebrities get out of serving time for misdeeds, particularly those of this nature. It's nice to know that some judges do not allow celebrity status to stop the celebrity from paying for their misdeeds.

I've spent weeks since a hospital consultation worrying about the results of a biopsy. Already disabled nd in dreadful pain I now know I have non alcoholic cirrhosis of my liver. I don't know yet if this will affect my life by limiting my life. I don't know if I can manage the condition and live a long happy life to see my Grandchildren grow up. I get to see only 2 of the 4 for reasons best known to the child who has 2 of them. I'm too far away to go whenever I want to just to hug my kids and Grandchildren and tell them how much I love them. I can't even tell them about the diagnosis because I still don't have the answers to the questions I know they'll ask. Nobody has put my problems (which, aren't of my making)into the news. Nobody cares about me because I'm just me! I do what I can to make life better for others even though it's often a struggle I still do it. I've written a book about my situation and how I've come thru it - I doubt it'll ever be published - it's a dream I have. This is as close as I'll ever come to being heard about and because Miss Hilton has behaved badly enough to be put into prison. So YES without shame I'm using this opportunity to say. Here I am and I appreciate my life for however long it is. I'll cry because I can't do or have what I want - it won't change anything so I'll make the best of it. Miss Hilton has taken this sham sentence for her behavior to promote herself further to make her even richer in money. May it make you happy - though I doubt it very much!!!

We think Paris is a spoiled brat too. Yet, the youth of our nation is finally learning something valuable thanks to her: MONEY and PARTIES all the time lead you nowhere. Having all the money and power in the world didn't keep her out of prison. We deal with children who are regularly trapped in the violence and drug/cash/ho's lifestyle and we try to teach them that by turning negatives into positives, in hop-hop format, things always seem brighter!

Best of luck to Miss Hilton in her jail time...we're pretty sure Daddy has made it comfortable as possible!

I guess I disagree with many of those commenting. I was very impressed by Ms Hilton's public statement. I believe she means to use this as a wakeup call, and plans to do more meaningful things with her new life. I think she has deserved this rightful punishment according to the civil law but on the other hand I am glad she is alone in the cell (cage) and not with other prisoners who could do her bodily harm. I do no believe that she should only spend 23 days in jail she is a human being like everybody else in this world, just because she has money should not change anything. I drove for 1.5years without a license cos I was too poor to renew it because of a hefty summons on speeding ticket. Each day I prayed I won't be stopped. I drive carefully and have always driven home safe and sound even if I had a few drinks. I am just lucky I didnt get caught for not renewing my license. Recently however I published my first book, "Butterfly kisses n Spunky Business" for animal lovers.

When I was Her age, I used to party every night, and then drive drunk to get home, and I bet that most of You morons have done the same.
